Google is set to introduce its new Pixel 9 series in India on August 14. Ahead of the official launch, Flipkart, which is owned by Walmart, has listed the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold on its platform, confirming their availability.
The Pixel 9 series is expected to include four models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. However, only the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold are currently shown on Flipkart, suggesting that these might be the only two models available in India initially.
While the Flipkart listing does not provide any details about the features or specifications of these phones, there have been several leaks that give us some insights. According to recent rumors, the Pixel 9 Pro might start at $999 (approximately ₹83,800). The Pixel 9 Pro XL could be priced at $1,099 for the 128GB storage model, which is $100 more than the Pro model. It's also speculated that Google will offer a pre-order deal, allowing customers to get the 512GB version for the price of the 256GB model.
Expected Features of the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are rumored to feature a 6.2-inch and 6.8-inch display, respectively, with a peak brightness of 300 nits. These phones are expected to launch with Android 14, with an update to Android 15 planned shortly after.
Google is also reportedly introducing a 1TB storage option for the Pixel 9 Pro XL, making it the largest storage capacity ever offered in a Pixel device. The camera setup is expected to include a 42MP front camera, a 50MP main rear camera, and two 48MP sensors for ultrawide and telephoto shots. Additionally, new AI features like "Pixel Studio" for AI-generated images and "Reimagine" for object transformation in photos are rumored to be part of the package.
Let's see the upcoming Pixel 9 series is generating a lot of excitement, and the Flipkart listing indicates that the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will soon be available for Indian customers.
